Galatians 6:9 NLT
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”
Though you haven’t seen the harvest of your decisions, it’s coming, it’s guaranteed, whether good or bad. The Bible promises that at the right time we will reap a harvest. This is why he encourages us to do two things. The first is don’t get tired of doing good in other translations it states not to grow tired of doing what is Godly. The second thing is don’t give up. We might have grown tired because everyone else around us might have quit; or maybe the crowd is overwhelming you in your decision making. The Lord says to those getting tired don’t do it. In other words take a cold shower wake up because their is still work to do. To those who are ready to give up the Lord says don’t give up because a harvest is on its way. So many give up right when the harvest is ready. Just wait it out, believe God, and watch Him bless you and bless others around you.
Genesis 8:22 NKJV
“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
The decisions you make today will produce for you tomorrow. You might be compromising your walk with God today. Maybe you are doing things you know you shouldn’t, or allowing those negative thoughts to rule your decisions. Maybe you are even allowing your fire for the things of God to die out; you stopped going to church and withdrew yourself from those that can pray for you and hold you accountable. You may have stopped praying and seeking God, eventually you will reap the harvest of these choices. You will end up defeated, alone and empty. The Lord is saying through this scripture in Genesis that as long as the earth remains the rules stay the same. No one can live by different rules for as long as God has it set up, seedtime and harvest is an absolute fact. No one gets a special set of rules other than the ones given to us by God. So choose what is Godly choose what is good.
Galatians 6:7-8 NLT
So choose to do what’s right, not necessarily what’s easy, so that your harvest will be a blessing not only to you but to others around. The Bible says, “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.”
A famous writer by the name of Robert Frost wrote “Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” We must choose what is right not what is easy. Maybe what is right is not the easy road and not many take its path. However we can say it has made all the difference in our lives. The road less traveled exist to please God which ends up harvesting everlasting life from the Spirit. Just think about it, it takes just as much effort to make a bad decision as it does to make a good decision. The good decision is based on Gods Word and principles this not the popular thing to do at times. However it pays in blessing.
I encourage you to invest in your good decisions today, by making Godly decisions that will change your tomorrow. It is obedience to the Word of God that will produce a harvest of God’s promises! When you do; not only will you be blessed but others around you will be blessed as well.
A harvest of our seed decisions is promised to all, what will yours look like? ~ PV
You know we have to stop to look and see that the Lord is good, He is loving, and He is merciful. He has allowed us to come to Him after bad decisions and to repent. Simply put repenting means to turn away from sin and bad decisions, change our mind through Gods Word, and be cleaned in His presence once again. Do you need to turn and come back? Have bad decisions side tracked you? Say this out loud:
Father, I ask you to forgive me for all the bad decisions I have already sown. I thank you that you are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. I will make Godly decisions based on Gods Word. Decisions are mine to make and I will sow them with the understanding that I will reap a harvest from them. Therefore, I ask you in Jesus name to give me the wisdom and understanding. I believe that the Holy Spirit will lead and guide me through the truth of Gods Word. Amen.
