Bring Your Brokenness to Jesus
Scripture: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
There are moments when the weight on your heart is greater than the words you can find. You know something is wrong, but you cannot explain it. You have tried to keep moving, keep smiling, and keep everything together. Yet deep inside, you know you need help.
The woman in Luke 7 came to Jesus carrying a history everyone seemed to know. She brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil, stood behind Him weeping, and washed His feet with her tears. Scripture records no spoken request from her. Still, Jesus understood her need.
What a beautiful reminder: you do not have to explain yourself perfectly to be received by the Savior.
Jesus invites the weary to come. You do not have to resolve every question or gather enough strength before approaching Him. Come with the tears. Come with the confusion. Come with the burden you have carried quietly for so long.
Humbling yourself before God begins with this honest confession: “Lord, I need You.”
Today, give yourself permission to be honest in His presence. Open your Bible, quiet your heart, and let the Holy Spirit help you pray. Your brokenness does not make you unwelcome. The Savior who received that weeping woman welcomes you into His care.
You may not know what to do next, but you can take this step: come to Jesus.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I bring You the burdens I cannot explain. Help me stop hiding my pain and trust Your gentle heart. Holy Spirit, help me pray when words fail. I surrender my need to You and receive Your rest. In Jesus’ name, amen.
