Remember the Source
Scripture: “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth.”— Deuteronomy 8:18
God desires to bring His people into a place of kingdom abundance—not merely so that we can possess more, but so that we can become a blessing. Kingdom prosperity touches every area of life: spiritual, physical, mental, relational, and financial. It gives us the capacity to serve, give, help others, and advance God’s purposes.
However, abundance carries a warning: never forget the Source. Israel was cautioned not to enter the Promised Land and say, “My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.” The wisdom, strength, opportunities, relationships, and open doors that produce success ultimately come from God.
The wilderness teaches us to depend upon Him when we have little. The promise tests whether we will continue honoring Him when we have much. If we cannot put God first in the desert, abundance will not suddenly make us faithful.
Kingdom living is a life of remembrance and gratitude. It recognizes that every good thing comes from the Father. Instead of complaining about what is missing, we thank Him for what He has provided. Instead of allowing increase to pull our hearts away, we use it to glorify Him and bless others.
Never allow the blessing to replace the One who blessed you. Keep His presence first, His Word open, and His kingdom at the center of every decision.
Prayer: Father, I acknowledge You as my Source. Thank You for every provision, opportunity, and ability You have given me. Keep my heart humble, grateful, and generous. May every blessing bring glory to Your name. Amen.
Practical Challenge: Make a list of five ways God has provided for you. Then intentionally use one resource—your time, finances, influence, or ability—to bless someone else.
