Protection, Healing, and Love

Scripture: “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you.”—Isaiah 41:10

Devotional: God’s presence is a place of protection. This does not mean we will never encounter danger or hardship, but it assures us that we will never face them alone. Pastor Kevin recalled being surrounded by an angry crowd after a deadly accident in Uganda. As fear affected his body, he declared, “Peace,” called upon Jesus, and God sent help. At the same time, believers at home had been led by the Holy Spirit to pray. The Lord was already working before they understood why.

His presence is also a place of healing. Some wounds reach deeper than words can touch. In those moments, we can welcome the Holy Spirit to minister to the broken places within us. God can bring healing to our bodies, minds, memories, and emotions. We should receive appropriate help when needed, but we must never forget that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter and Healer.

Finally, His presence fills us with love. When we remain near Him, prejudice, offense, pride, and bitterness begin to lose their hold. God’s love closes the distance between people and enables us to see others through the compassion of Christ. His presence does not merely comfort us; it transforms how we treat everyone around us.

Everything you need is found in His presence—and His Spirit lives within you. You have access to His protection, healing, love, peace, joy, strength, and wisdom. Walk with Him. Seek Him. Ask Him. Worship Him. When you have all of Him, you have everything you need.

Prayer: Father, thank You for being my protector, healer, and source of perfect love. Minister to every wounded place within me and remove fear, bitterness, and offense. Fill me with Your compassion so Your presence can touch others through my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Practical Challenge: Set aside fifteen minutes to worship without asking God for anything. Rest in His presence, then intentionally show His love to someone who needs encouragement or kindness today.
